A Little About Me

Welcome! I’m Nasia Outsikas, a Melbourne-based psychologist committed to helping adolescents and adults navigate life with a focus on growth. My passion for this work comes from my own journey and the realisation that change is one of life’s only constants. Being part of someone’s healing journey, especially when they’re grappling with deep rooted challenges like grief and trauma, is deeply rewarding to me.

The Path to Becoming Your Psychologist

My journey started at Deakin University, where I completed my Honours in Psychological Science. Alongside my studies, I worked as a mental health support worker here in Melbourne, learning first hand what it takes to support people in real situations. After graduating, I completed a two-year internship in private practice, growing my skills and deepening my knowledge. Over the years, I’ve worked with Victims of Crime, led therapeutic groups in psychiatric settings, and trained in CBT, ACT, and DBT for adults and adolescents alike. Many clients I see today are navigating grief and trauma, areas I’m passionate about supporting. In 2024, I realised a long-held dream and opened my own practice in Caulfield North.

Commitment to Holistic Well-being

I chose a setting that reflects my commitment to holistic well-being. Managing my clients directly ensures transparency and gives you direct access to me, while working with allied health professionals allows for easy, collaborative referrals.

What Sets Me Apart

While I draw on well-established approaches like CBT, ACT, and DBT, I also believe in seeing each client as a whole person, addressing mind, body, and context. Being bilingual in English and Greek means I can connect with clients from diverse backgrounds, appreciating all the cultural nuances they bring. If faith is important to you, I’m comfortable integrating it into our work; I also work as a Christian psychologist in Melbourne for those looking to incorporate faith into therapy.

Flexible Therapy Options

Flexibility is at the heart of my practice. I’m available for sessions at the clinic, in the comfort of your home, or even online if you’re looking for a telehealth psychologist. One of my favourite aspects of working near Caulfield Park is being able to grab a coffee and take a walk during our sessions. Not only is walking and talking therapy  good for the body, but research suggests it’s great for processing complex emotions too.

How We Can Work Together

If you’re looking for someone to help you on your journey, I’m here to provide compassionate, down-to-earth support. Together, we can figure out what’s going on and get you to where you want to be.
